Full Description


Former Fishery Office; earlier-mid 19th century, 2-storey 3-bay; whitewashed rubble. East facing facade with centre door flanked to left by longer ground floor windows with lying-pane glazing; 4-pane glazing to 1st floor windows; tooled margined, glazed recess with barometer to left of centre door; corniced end stacks; slate roof. The Buildings at Risk register describes this same building thus: 2 storey 3 bay house, overlooking Lybster Harbour and formerly associated with the nearby Fishery Office. The front elevation features a central door flanked by windows. The house is in whitewashed rubble with a slate roof. <1>

A photographic survey of the building was carried out in 2013 as a condition on a planning application. <2>
