Full Description

Photo: the area to the N of the box has been quarried away leaving northern support legs exposed. Dangerous building notice has been served on the estate and it is likely that will be removed shortly - HAW 4/2004

GR corrected to above to reflect the location of the pillbox on the edge of arable land close to the beach. Access Officer reports that site is now at risk as earth removal has undermined the brick built supports that are now badly cracked - HAW 11/2003

ND35SE 79 3502 5483.
A very damaged modern pill-box, with rubble strewn over the beach. The base is visible in section, 3 to 4m long.
C E Batey 1981. No.131.
