A farmstead, comprising one unroofed building is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1874, sheet lxxiii). One unroofed building of two compartments is shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1975).

Walter Dempster was told by someone whose father-in-law was brought up there that there was still the “Merchant” sign above the door when he was young. There are other foundations in the area. <1>
