A farmstead, comprising eight roofed buildings, one partially roofed L-shaped building, one unroofed L-shaped building, one horse-gang and one enclosure is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Nairnshire 1871, sheet i). Two roofed building and a modern group of three farm buildings to the E are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1978).

The site was visited by AOC Archaeology Group during a walkover survey in June 2007. The complex of buildings contains both post-medieval and modern structures, all of which were in good repair. The modification to the main house at Easter Delnies is apparent on the 1906, 1938 and 1959 Ordnance Survey maps. <1>
