Visible on vertical air photographs (OS 69/090/528, flown 1969).

1st Ed OS shows village substantially on a tringular grid radiating from W side of road between Culcain Bridge and Evanton Bridge. But with mill building complex on other side of river. Key buildings PO, Smithy etc named - HAW 11/2002
