Full Description

This is one of a row of 4 that previously lay along the NE side of Cathedral Square, the 2 central were demolished c1900 to build the drill hall. The most westerly is being demolished 11.2003 to build the war memorial garden. So this is the survivor. It should be noted that the cottage looks onto the Cathedral itself (not Union St which it also backs). There are further elements of the row at the SE corner, but all skimmed. The one demolished 11/2003 has been eamined and is possibly early in part of the strcture, as well as potentially being on a medieval site - HAW 11/2003
