Novar House was noted in ARCH's Evanton Wartime Remains project in 2013. WRNSs were stationed in the house during the war. A former WRNS, who was living in Canada at the time of this project, remembered that WRNS Officers stayed in Novar House with other ranks in the surrounding huts. At certain times the lower ranks were allowed into the house. There was a secret telephone exchange in the attic. Contributors: Eleanor Munro; Evanton Oral History Project; Zoe Boone <1>
