An enclosure is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire, 1880, sheet cx). A larger enclosure is shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1972).
Information from RCAHMS (AKK) 7 May 1996.

Visited by cathy Dagg 15/9/00 as part of walkover survey on proposed water mains route.

Centred on NG8516 3782. Either two attached enclosures or one enclosure divided internally. The 1st edition OS map only marks the NW enclosure. The enclosures are defined by substantial turf and stone dykes. Within are three areas of grass and bracken indicating previously cultivated ground. The NW of these areas contains clearance cairns and possible other structures at present concealed by tall bracken. As ther path crosses the enclosures, it passes three cairns. The southermost of these may be a more recent cairn placed on an older structure.
