Full Description

A large, grass-covered, roughly oval or sub-rectangular mound, 10 by 4 by 2.5m high, with traces of stone, possibly burnt. A deep hollow, 8 by 4m, lies adjacent and may be associated.
C Batey 1982. <1>

The mound is a ramp of turf-covered, compacted stone, contemporary with a nearby old quarry, the 'deep hollow' noted.
Visited by OS (J M) 3 August 1982.

Note that in the final report this is described as a burnt mound. <2>
