Picts House (remains of) marked on 1st ed OS, large simple circular feature - HAW 8/2003

Mound (NR) OS 6" map, (1960)

A 'Pictish house or brough' situated on a small hillock. It has never been opened, but seems to have fallen in. (Not recorded by RCAHMS.) Name Book 1873.

A sub-circular hollow c13m in diameter in grass- covered sand and now afforested. There is no trace of stonework and there is nothing to suggest that it is artificial.

Mound. Diameter 20m, height 1.5m. (Wrongly positioned on distribution map.)
