Full Description

A cairn, 12.2m in diameter N-S and 12.4m E-W, so damaged by ploughing that the slope is now visible only on the N side. An upright stone at the N end measures about 0.9m in length, and another stone on the W lies at right angles to it.
C E Batey 1982.

ND 2469 7375. On a slight change of slope in a field is a turf-covered cairn, 12.0m N-S by 10.5m transversely by 0.3m high; the edges of two slabs protrude in the periphery of the level top, which is 4.0m across. The cairn interrupts two furrows of rig-and-furrow cultivation; there is little evidence of significant damage to the cairn from early-modern land use.
Surveyed at 1:2500. Visited by OS (J M) 22 April 1982.
