Monument record MHG22692 - Clisham, Strathpeffer

Clisham was formerly known as Brookside, because there was originally a burn, formerly an open drain. Now covered over, the burn can still be heard. Clisham is one of the earliest houses in the Spa development and is very typically Highland in appearance (Murray 1985). As Brookside, it is recorded in a 1949 sales prospectus for the Strathpeffer Estate, when it had a builders yard, office, workshops, and a store at the rear.
