Full Description

Near to farmhouse of Kirk Mains (ND 286 593) was a burial ground. Traditionally this is site of an older chapel than that at Kirk (ND25NE 6, q.v.).
D Beaton 1909.

The farmer at Kirk Mains knows only of one chapel or burial ground site, namely that recorded on ND25NE 6.
Visited by OS (R D L) 23 April 1963.

No knowledge or evidence for this site was found in the area.
