Full Description

Standing Stone (NR) OS 1:10,000 map, (1975)

Standing Stone, North Bilbster: This is a granitic, evidently ice-borne, boulder 8ft 6ins high and about 4ft 8ins thick. It has been pointed towards its top, possibly artificially.
RCAHMS 1911.

This stone is as described above. It is probably an erratic, but it has been set up as is evident from number of packing stones round its base.

Standing stone, North Bilbster. Height: 2.5m. Upright stone situated on the edge of a terrace overlooking the floodplain.
