Full Description

A circular feature is visible on Ordnance Survey air photograph 89.202.153 (flown May 1989), some 120m S of North Bilbster farm steading. It is clearly visible on ground, being some 10m diameter with a slight ditch on the outside of a low bank. In centre is a low raised area about 2.5m in diameter. This feature is situated at one end of a low ridge immediately above the Wick River. A 70 year old gentleman at Bilbster Mains states it is an old burial ground.
Surveyed at 1:2500.
Info contained in letter from R L Wilby, Ordnance Survey field surveyor, to RCAHMS 5 July 1990.
