Quern found AD 1851 (NAT) OS 1:10,000 map, (1975)

This saddle-quern and rubber (identified as such from text and drawing) was found 18 ins below ground level by ploughing in 1851. Mr Davidson of Old Hall sent them to Edinburgh Museum.
Name Book 1871.

No further info was obtained during field investigation. The site lies in a flat arable field.
Visited by OS (W D J) 24 April 1963.
