Full Description
Mound. Diameter: 32m. Circular grass-covered mound 1.5m high topped by a heap of stones to a height of 2m.
R J Mercer, NMRS MS/828/19, 1995
A turf-covered mound generally as described. It is probably a cairn or barrow as suggested. No 'slight mound, 10m in diameter' is now to be seen. The daughter of field owner believes the 2.5m high modern solid drystone structure on summit was erected late last century for an unknown purpose.
Revised at 1:2500. Visited by OS (J B) 6 October 1981
