The German submarine U965 was depth charged by HM ships RUPERT and CONN six miles west of Point Stoer.

Surveying Details

9 August 1984. The site was not found during category A sonar search. However it could possibly be wreck at 58 12 26N, 005 32 41W.

Commanded by KL Unverzagt, the U965 (type VIIC Atlantic) sunk by the RN frigate CONN at 12.58hrs on 27 March 1945. No survivors.
