11 September 1984. A wreck at the depth of 71 metres and 68 metres long (223 feet) was located at 58 31 06.38N, 002 49 19.69W.

11 January 1985. The site was examined on 22 August 1984 at 58 31 06N, 002 49 20W - obtained using syledis (trisponder). Decca = [n scot] red c 8.60, green b 36.61, purple g 55.42. The least echossounder depth was 71 in a general depth of 76 metres. A scour pit 0.3 metres deep was observed. The side scan sonar indicated a height of 5.6 metres, and length of 68 metres (223 feet). The vessel is lying with its keel orientated 160/340 degrees.

25 July 1985. The least depth is now 69 metres. The length is 60 metres (196 feet) and beam is 12 metres (39.3 feet). The vessel is lying with its keel on an orientation of 165/345 degrees.

19 March 1986. The site was examined on 29 May 1985 at 58 31 06N, 002 49 20W. NGR eastings 352105, northings 959170. Trisponder ranges: Duncansby Head 18249 metres; Quoys Pillar 19556 metres; Muckle Skerry 20004 metres; Noss Head 13937 metres. Decca = [n scot] red c 8.61, green b 36.54, purple g 55.44. The least echosounder depth was 69 in a general depth of 77 metres. No scouring was observed. The side scan sonar indicated a height of 7.1 metres, length of 60 metres (196 feet), and beam is 12 metres 39.3 feet). The vessel is lying with its keel on an orientation of 165/345 degrees. The vessel is a "3 island" vessel lying on an even keel.
