A crofting township comprising twenty-seven roofed buildings, including a school, two partially roofed and seven unroofed buildings and some associated enclosures is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire and Cromartyshire 1881, sheet xxi). Thirty-four roofed buildings, including a school and two churches, four partially roofed and fifteen unroofed buildings and some associated enclosures are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10560 map (1969).
