Full Description

In open moorland relatively free of stones, is a setting of three upright slabs, 0.5 to 0.6m high, with their faces aligned NW-SE. They have undoubtedly been set up by man, and superficially their size and disposition suggest the orthostats of a chambered cairn, but cairn material is totally absent and this premise is unlikely. Alternatively, this may be the remains of a 'four-poster'. The nearest man-made structures are six hut circles 80m to the NE (see ND03SE 17).
Surveyed at 1:10,000. Visited by OS (N K B) 28 October 1982.
