Full Description

A charter of 1619 records 'Achinnacloy', while Roy's map of 1747-55 shows 3 buildings, named 'Achnechlich' {now Achnaclyth}. At ND 0985 3375 are the foundations of a longhouse and two small buildings.

A farmstead, comprising two unroofed buildings is shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10,560 map (1962). One unroofed building is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1877, sheet xxxviii)
