Full Description

Cup-marked boulders.
(A) This is at the grid ref. given (30 cup-marks)

HC Site visit record sheet:
Showed to Ann and Edwin Wakeling by Iain Bain 21/10/95.
On moderately steep slope on glacial terrace.
c.250m. OD Bearing to pylon 352 degrees - 124m, allowing for slope = 110m to wall. From 'rowan/pine tree rock' at village, bearing c. 256 degrees, c. 250m (not inter-visible)

(B) Earthfast erratic schist boulder - 37 cup-marks on top surface. 3.8m N-S; 1.5m E-W. 0.4m high (west / uphill side). 0.8m high (downhill / east side).

Recorded by Ann Wakeling 9/11/95. Located on her survey of Balnapoul settlement.

(C) Erratic schist boulder - 7 cup-marks on top surface. 2.2m NW-SE; 1.0m NE-SW. 0.8m high at E,. End. 0.6m high on S. side. W end adjoins field wall of small paddock beside 'house 2' on Balnapoul survey.

(D) Rock outcrop - schist. 21 cup-marks on southern third. 4.3m E-W. Approx 1.3m N-S (sloping off to ground on south). E end 1.3m high; W end ground level.

Between houses 1 and 2 on survey.

(E) Schist rock - 1 cup-mark.

Beside house 17 on survey.
