Full Description
The Watchstone is a large natural rock to the west of 34 Swanston Avenue, Inverness. It is traditionally supposed to be the place where the townsfolk kept a lookout for possible troublemakers.
It has presumably given its name to the fishertown of Clachnaharry.

Natural, erratic, conglomerate boulder, now next to a house, therefore without its original landscape context.
