Full Description

A possible lint retting pool.
Information from Ann Wakeling, 8/12/99

A possible retting pond noted in a DBA and walkover survey by C Dagg in 2007 in advance of a woodland creation scheme. This was recorded as being on the stream running southeast from Ryvoan, below the cultivation area. There was some evidence here for damming of the stream, although whether this would have formed an adequate retting pond or whether retting of linen is likely to have taken place here was uncertain. <1>
