Full Description
NH89NW 2.1 814 965.
No. 1. A fragment of sandstone, of approximately square shape, found in 1872, 3 1/2 m W of Golspie, on the S side of Ferry Road, on a bare gravelly flat. It measures 7 1/2ins in length, 7 1/2ins in width, and 4 1/2ins in thickness, and is sculptured, with incised lines on one face, with two straight parallel lines and two others terminating in spiral curves in the centre, probably forming part of the rectangular symbol. RCAHMS 1911.
This stone (0.20m x 0.19m x 0.09m) is in Dunrobin Museum No.11. Information from R Jones 1980.
