Full Description

NN04NW 2 0074 4530.

This burial-enclosure measures about 4.6m square over walls 0.6m in thickness and about 1.8m in height. No tombstones are visible within the interior, which is grass-grown, but a stone incorporated in the W wall bears the incised inscription: (ER)ECTED / BY / ?(I C) / 1767; other initials have been inscribed at a later date. This burial-ground belonged to the Campbells of Balliveolan, and the initials are probably those of John Campbell of Balliveolan, who is on record in 1768.
RCAHMS 1975.
