A farmstead, comprising two roofed buildings and one unroofed building of two compartments is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1875, sheet xviii). Two roofed buildings are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1975).

In November 2008, a session was held with members of the Young Archaeologists Club. The children were invited to bring along photographs of sites near them. Kenna MacDonald from Inverness brought along two photographs of her great-great grandfather's house, Teavarran, one after its renovation as part of Monack Mhor Writers Centre, and one prior to renovation. <1>
