Aerial photographs (RCAHMSAP 1994) show the footings of two buildings to either side of the Big Burn. The building to the S of the burn (NH 6552 3842) lies to the NE of a roofed shed and is shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1975) as unroofed. The building to the N of the burn (NH 6543 3843) is situated within what may have been an enclosure. Both buildings are depicted as roofed on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1875, sheet xx) with a further structure shown to the SSW of the building to the N of the burn.
