A post medieval settlement is situated on S side of Dunbeath Water, 1000m WSW of Achnaclyth. The foundations of two buildings are visible. One (at ND 0885 3357) is a longhouse about 30m E-W by 4.5m in size, subdivided into three rooms. There is a small annexe on its N wall. The turf and reed covered foundations survive to about 0.3m in height. The smaller building (at ND 0881 3357) measures about 7m by 4m and is defined by foundations which are in a similar state of preservation.
