A crofting township comprising forty-nine roofed buildings, including a church and a manse, two partially roofed buildings and seven unroofed buildings is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire, Island of Skye 1879, sheet vii). Sixty roofed buildings, including two churches and two manses, seven partially roofed buildings and twenty-six unroofed buildings are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10560 map (1968).
