Steamship REIN, 1176 ton, of Bergen, master Hine Meyer. On way from Lyngar, Norway to Preston, Lancashire. Lost 13 Apr 1937, 2.30am at Helman Head, 2 miles south of Wick, 4.5 miles from Noss Head Lighthouse. Wind south east light breeze, fog, sea smooth. Cause of wreck - fog. 16 persons all saved. Cargo of wood pulp. Value of vessel and cargo not known. Vessel submerged and only bridge above water.
