Full Description

John Gifford, in his Buildings of Scotland volume, describes this as follows: "Stratherrick Free Church. Big harled box by William Mackintosh, 1871". <1>

The 1st edition Ordnance Survey map c.1871-6 appears to depict the Free Church, and school, on the south side of the road. Possibly a predecessor to the current building. The church is depicted in its current location on the 2nd edition map c.1900-2. <2>
