Full Description

From c.857 718 to c.866 722

Running SW from the foot of Creag nan Cadhag and around the boggy flats to the S of Am Feur-loch, there are the remains of a plantation dyke, which was recorded during the course of a pre-afforestation survey by J Wordsworth. The construction of the dyke varies along its length: at Creag nan Cadhag it survives as a drystone wall 1m high and around the banks of the loch it becomes less obvious, composed largely of turf. A small stretch of drystone and turf wall was also observed at NG c.855 722, which suggests the dyke may have continued to the burn separating Loch Bad an Sgalaig form Am feur Loch.
J Wordsworth; NMRS 961/16, no.2
