Full Description
NG86NE 1 c.850 697
What may be a structure, situated between the SE banks of the Dubh Loch and the Allt na Cosaig, was recorded during the course of a pre-afforestation survey by J Wordsworth. It comprises a wall measuring 2.5m in length from NW to SE by 1.5m transversely, which may have been a turf-walled shieling hut on a stone footing. There is a suggestion that the burn in this area may have been artificially straightened, for some 20m, in the past.
