Full Description

A short stretch of dyke was recorded, to the N of the summit of Druim Dhonn, during the course of a pre-afforestation survey undertaken by J Wordsworth. The dyke is 16m long and is purely of drystone contruction for 6m of its length. Within this stretch there is an entrance, measuring about 1m in width, which suggests that the drystone walling existed purely for the entranceway, the rest of the wall being constructed of turf. The wall is surrounded by a heavily eroded landscape.
