Full Description
Centred at NH 496 164, in an area of relatively level moorland, are two adjacent hut circles ('A' and 'B').
'A', at NH 4961 1644, is turf and heather covered, measuring 13.5m SW-NE by 10.5m within a wall spread to an average of 2.5m wide and 0.4m high. Occasional inner and outer facing stones protude on the wall. The entrance, defined by low slabs, is in the SW. A straight wall of intermittent orthostats 0.3m to 0.4m high springs from the W arc. It runs for 40.0m to the W before turning sharply to the S, then to disappear after 10.0m. Whether it is contemporary with the huot cannot be determined.
'B', at NH 4958 1644, is ill defined and turf-covered, measuring about 8.0m in diameter internally. The indistinct hut wall is spread to 2.5m wide and 0.3m high. The entrance is probably in the SE. A curving wall, similar in preservation to that of the hut, springs from the W arc turning round nearly to rejoin the hut wall in the SSE-NNW by 7.0m internally. The gap in the S is 3.0m wide.
A small number of probably contemporary clearance heaps is scattered around the huts.
