Full Description

On a level river terrace overlooking the River Fechlin is an enclosure measuring about 20.0m NE-SW by 11.5m internally. The turf-covered wall, which resembles that of a hut circle, is spread generally to 2.0m wide enlarging to 3.0m at the entrance in the NE; the height is 0.5m at the entrance, 0.3m elsewhere. The date and purpose of the enclosure are known, but the remains have an adjacent appearance. Approximately half a dozen adjacent clearance heaps are more liable to be associated with the early modern cultivation of the area (see NH 41 SE 5) rather than being of a prehistoric date.
Surveyed at 1/10,000.
