Full Description

NH 44/54 OS 535 447 No. 11
Phoineas Farm.
Site on Phoineas farm, marked K on the plan. A ringwork with what appears to be a small motte hill now reduced to 4 feet in height. The ditch is completely obliterated in places: its diameter from east to west is 21 yards. This could be the earthwork of Christie of Phoineas, one of Bisset of Lovat's barons, known as Gasper Cristy Baryon of Foyaes.
Extract from Inverness Field Club Survey notes.
