A crofting township comprising thirty-nine roofed, three partially roofed, fifteen unroofed buildings, and their associated enclosures and field walls is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1876, sheet cl). One hundred and seven roofed, two unroofed buildings, and their associated enclosures and field walls are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1977). The N end of this township is now located within the modern town of Fort William.
