A township comprising five roofed, two unroofed buildings, one of which is a long building, and some field walls is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1875-7, sheet cxlix). One roofed, three unroofed buildings and some field walls are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1973).

Further details of ruins around the Annat and Gaskan area were reported by Tony Millard. These comprise a large stone circle, 24ms across with smaller circle, 10ms across. Piles of stones, stone squares etc, all within the area defined by - NM 800725 and NM 788717.
