Wreckage possibly from FREDERICK BARTHOLDI departed Jacksonville for London with a general cargo, ran aground with bow and stern perched on rock, centre section unsupported so that she broke her back and almost split in two. Cargo was removed, vessel refloated, then beached and scrapped at Kames Bay in the Clyde in September 1994.
