Full Description

There is a bloomery at Corriemony in Glen Urquhart, with slag of the oldest type.
W I Macadam 1893

The exact site of this bloomery could not be found but, prior to 1939, Mr. A.C. MacKell (Mr A C MacKell, The Schoolhouse, Drumnadrochit Senior Secondary School, Drumnadrochit, Inverness-shire) discovered quantities of slag in the area centred at NH 390 298.
