A township comprising nineteen roofed buildings, three of which are long buildings, one partially roofed building, thirteen unroofed buildings, their associated enclosures and field walls, and a head-dyke is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire, Isle of Skye 1882, sheet xxxv). To the S the head-dyke separates Gedintailor from the township of Balmeanach.
Fourteen roofed, thirteen unroofed buildings and a head-dyke are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1986).
