Full Description
NG62SE 28 696 243
What may be a farmstead comprising one roofed and one unroofed building is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire, Isle of Skye 1882, sheet xli), but it is not shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1986).
Information from RCAHMS (SAH) 29 November 1996
This site is an old inn, known as Tigh Ost Lussa or Lussa Inn, and was still in use in the early 1900s. It was important in its day as it served travellers going to Kylerea and Kyleakin.
Its correct grid reference is NG 6900 2380.
There are only a few of the original buildings to be seen as the road going to the airstrip was constructed over the top of some of the old buildings. <1>
