Full Description

Surmounting a slight rise at NH 8176 2817 is an oval stone-walled hut, reminiscent of the elongated huts N of Drumnadrochit (NH53SW 7). It measures 13.2m E-W by 8.2m transversely between the centres of a wall spread to 2.5m in the N and S. In the E and W the wall is denuded and the entrance is not evident.
There is no trace of contemporary cultivation in the immediate vicinity of the hut, but about 100 metres to the W are a few stone clearance heaps possibly from contemporary cultivation plots.
Hut surveyed at 1/2500.
Visited by OS (A A) 22 February 1972.
