Recorded in Redfern, "20th Century fortifications in the UK" vol IV as being manned 3 Oct 1940 by 51 Brigade, 108 Regiment, 339 battery.

Anti-aircraft heavy AA Battery. The battery was armed with 2 x 3 inch guns. The code was W1. Later armed with 4 x 3.7 inch guns. J A Guy, 20th Century Defences (report nos 1, 8 & 11)
