Full Description
NH22SW 2 centred on 2250 2120
Seven shieling-huts, lying in a grassy area measuring 300m by 150m, on either side of an unnamed burn feeding into Loch nan Gillean, were noted during a pre-afforestation survey by J Wordsworth (NMRS MS 961/12, no.6). The buildings are all aligned from E to W and range in size from 5m by 3m to 8m by 4m with drystone walls between 0.4m and 0.8m high. All but one of the shieling-huts is depicted on the current edition of the OS 1:10560 map (1968).
