Full Description

NH21NW 4 2095 1808

Three structures on the N bank of the Allt Eigin and across the burn from a group of three buildings (NH21NW 1), were noted during a pre-afforestation survey by J Wordsworth (NMRS MS 961/12, no.11). They comprise a very poorly defined 3m diameter feature, an open-ended oval structure measuring 3m by 2m which has been partly eroded by the burn and a 1.5m diameter structure which may have been a dairy store, They are different in character from and possibly predate the shieling-huts to the S of the burn.
