Full Description

Centred on 726 077

An earth-and-stone bank (ROG95 986) encloses part of a heather and bog-grass covered terrace on the N side of a tributary of the Allt na Creige Moire. The bank describes a C-shape; open to the ENE where a sharp break of slope at the leading edge of the terrace may have served to close the enclosure. A building and three pits lie within the enclosure (NC 70NW 73.02) and there is a hut (ROG95 39) lying against the inner side of the bank on the NW of the enclosure. The hut, whose relationship to the bank is not clear, measures 3.8m from NNE to SSW by 2.3m transversely within an earthen bank spread to 1.1m in thickness and 0.3m in height. The entrance may have been in the SSW end. To the SW of the hut there is what may be a standing stone (NC70NW 71.04).
